SPHERIX ACQUIRES DAKSOFT’S RESERVATION BUSINESS
Purchase Adds Four States and Two Counties to Reservation Family

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

BELTSVILLE, MD.  Spherix Incorporated (NASDAQ/SPEX), announced today that it has purchased the reservation business of Daksoft, a wholly owned subsidiary of Black Hills Corporation located in Rapid City, South Dakota.  The acquisition includes all rights to Daksoft’s ReserveIt software, continuing contracts with four states and two counties in the U.S., and an additional call center operation located in the mid-west.  The call center will be Spherix’s third, further demonstrating its commitment to providing services nationwide wherever needed.  As a result of the acquisition, Spherix will now be providing reservation services to eleven states and two counties.

“As we move to become the major provider of Federal, state, and county park reservation services, this acquisition positions Spherix as one of only two major companies offering these services to states and as the most technologically advanced system provider in the market,” said Thomas Gantt, Spherix President and CEO.  “Spherix’s ReserveWorld system is already considered by many to represent the best in the industry.  Adding ReserveIt to our family will allow us the opportunity to provide more flexibility in offerings to states and counties of all sizes.”

Diana Holloway, the person mainly responsible for the growth of ReserveIt, has agreed to continue her employment as Spherix’s Director of the ReserveIt Division.  She is located in South Dakota and will manage the new Division as well as participate in overall corporate business development opportunities.
