SPHERIX WINS OHIO STATE PARKS CONTRACT FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: BELTSVILLE, MD, Spherix Incorporated (NASDAQ/SPEX), today announced that it has added Ohio State Parks to its fast-growing list of state and Federal agency clients that contract with the Company to use its ReserveWorld central reservation system. For the fourth consecutive year, Spherix has added at least one major state government contract to its reservations business line. The year 2000 saw the addition of Maryland and Michigan. Delaware was added in 2001, Indiana in 2002, and now Ohio. Spherix is also currently competing for reservation contracts with other states, and is optimistic about its chances for winning those, as well. The winning streak results from Spherix's focusing on becoming the premier provider of specialized reservation services. "We have become the 'go-to' company," said Thomas Gantt, Spherix's President and CEO. "And that's not just an advertising line, it's what our clients and prospective clients in the market are telling us. They like our technology, our low prices and our problem-free approach to installation, but most of all, they like our people, and the way they work with clients to make their projects successful. Our goal is to keep earning that reputation, contract by contract, until every state, local, or Federal agency that wants this kind of service chooses to get it from Spherix." In addition to its state contracts, Spherix has operated the National Park Reservation Service (NPRS) since 1997 and the reservation service for Circle Lines Tours' Statue of Liberty Ferry since 2001. The NPRS contract grew as well in 2003 with the addition of a project for the "First Flight Centennial" event celebrating the 100th year anniversary of the famous Wright Brothers flight at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. Through the NPRS contract, Spherix provides services to some of the most popular attractions in the country, including the Washington Monument, Independence Hall, Yosemite National Park, Carlsbad Caverns, and many others.
